A small hotel

Havyn is deliberately simple: no restaurant, no bar, no reception counter. The suite is the whole of it, and Old Montreal takes care of the rest — cafés, terraces and restaurants are all a few minutes' walk away.

The neighbourhood

Old Montreal begins at the door.

Havyn sits on Notre-Dame Est, in the middle of the old town. Everything below is a walk, measured from our door.

Before you arrive

Arriving is the easy part.

The questions we are asked most, answered before you pack rather than once you are standing outside.

How do I get in?

You receive a code by message before you arrive. It opens the street door and your suite door at any hour — eleven at night or four in the morning makes no difference. If the code does not work, call us: someone answers around the clock.

When can I arrive, and when do I leave?

Check-in is from 3 pm and check-out is by 11 am. Arriving from 1:30 pm or leaving as late as 12:30 pm is possible for CAD 30, subject to availability.

How do I get there, and find the door?

From the airport, the 747 shuttle runs day and night to the bus terminal beside Berri-UQAM métro; from there it is one stop on the orange line to Champ-de-Mars, then a seven-minute walk. Once there, look for 401: black glass doors opening straight onto the pavement, between Marché Bonsecours and Champ-de-Mars.

Where can I park?

The hotel has no car park. Parking is on the street at the city rate, as it is everywhere in Old Montreal — and the neighbourhood is best walked once the car is left somewhere.

Can I leave my luggage?

Yes, baggage storage is available. As there is no front desk, write to us before you arrive and we will tell you how.

Can I bring my pet?

Yes — one pet per suite, CAD 50 for the stay. It must be leashed in the common areas, and you remain responsible for any damage.

Are there any house rules?

The hotel is entirely non-smoking and quiet hours run from 10 pm to 7 am. Parties are not permitted: this is a residential building, and only the guests named on the booking may stay past 10 pm.

Still have a question?

Write or call before you book rather than after — we would rather answer first.
